The Queen of Mangoes
Kesar Mangoes are famous for their fruit quality, taste, attractiveness & bright-orange pulp color. They also have a good shelf life which makes it a staple for any healthy diet. These mangoes are mostly grown in Gujarat, Western India, and they are slightly smaller in size to the Alphonso, but offers a uniquely different taste.
Characteristics
Medium-sized, and oblong shaped. It usually has a red mush on its shoulders. Kesars have a delightful, sweet flavor and can be used for making a variety of different items such as pulp, juice, nectars, squashes, jams and concentrates. Very often, ripe or unripe, they are also used for exotic dishes, which makes the Kesar unique in every way.
